(b. 14/7/1967, Belgium) After completing his studies at Saint-Luc, André Taymans teamed up with Jean-Claude de la Royère to adapt 'Les Compagnons de la Peur'. In 1991, Taymans illustrated 'Alex Nora: Opération Bolivar' and then worked on two volumes of 'Sam Griffith'. In 1992, he succeeded Griffo on the 'Munro' detective series. He continued his exploits by starting the children's series 'Les Aventures de Charlotte' along with Rudi Miel, which was pre-published in Le Soir. Taymans has worked with many scenario-writers, like De la Royère, Gabrielle Borile, Jean-François di Giorgio and Bob de Groot, but in 1996 he began writing his own stories. That year, Casterman published the first volume of his 'Caroline Baldwin' series. André Taymans is influenced both by the Clear Line artists as well as Franquin and Tillieux.
